Abstract:

Cane is very common throughout Russia, growing in almost all climatic zones except the Arctic. There is especially a lot of it in the south of the country, in floodplains of rivers, on the shores of lakes, near the Caspian, Azov and Black Seas. Dense thickets of reeds provide shelter and food for many birds, animals, insects, reptiles and fish. However, the tradition of burning dry plant residues every spring leads to catastrophes. In an effort to get rid of dry grass, reeds, straw, a person achieves only a rapid deterioration of the ecological situation on his land, and, as a result, a drop in his own standard of living, the acquisition of chronic diseases.

Keywords: organic fertilizer, straw and other plant residues, reeds, burning of dry grass, biofuels, ecology, cane
