Abstract:

The use of non-food waste from agriculture (corn stalks, straw, sunflower seed husks, sugar cane pulp) and the wood processing industry (sawdust, wood chips), reduces the final cost of bioethanol and ensures more complete involvement of plant biomass in the technological process, solving the environmental problem of waste disposal, in addition, avoids competition with the food industry, There are four main technologies for the production of ethyl alcohol: SHF (separate hydrolysis and fermentation – separated hydrolysis and fermentation), SSF (simultaneous saccharification and fermentation - simultaneous saccharification and fermentation), SSCF (simultaneous saccharification and co-fermentation) and CBP (consolidated bioprocessing - consolidated bio-processing)
