Abstract:

The paper analyzes the process of creating an underground gas storage facility using the Yuzhno-Lugovskoye field as an example. The paper also assesses the economic efficiency of creating an underground gas storage facility using the Yuzhno-Lugovskoye field as an example. The economic efficiency of the project is assessed taking into account various factors, such as capital expenditures on the construction of the storage facility, operating expenses, revenues from storing and selling gas, as well as possible risks and uncertainties. To assess capital expenditures, the costs of designing, drilling wells, building infrastructure, and purchasing the necessary equipment were taken into account. Operating expenses include the costs of operating and maintaining the storage facility, paying staff salaries, as well as taxes and fees. Revenues from storing and selling gas are calculated based on the volumes of stored gas, tariffs for storage services, and projected gas prices. When completing this task, provisions, requirements, and information from various regulatory, methodological, and guidance documents, reference books, as well as educational and scientific works were used, which were taken into account in the bibliography. The conclusions and recommendations obtained as a result of the study can be practically applied in production, especially in the development and implementation of measures aimed at the efficiency of underground gas storage. Economic calculations of the carried out measure, as well as the results of calculations of the economic profitability and feasibility of the project are given.
