Abstract:

The article provides a solution to the environmental problem of recycling spent oil and gas production flushing fluid, which plays an important role in drilling operations. As a result of studying the composition of the spent drilling mud, it was determined that its main components are: bentonite clay, water-soluble polymer reagents, stabilizers, surfactants, lubricants. The study of the physico-chemical properties of spent drilling mud revealed that it can be used as a fixing agent to prevent the removal of sands and salts from the soil surface, protecting it from erosion. The formation of a surface crust – water-resistant aggregates (WPA) in the soils of the drained bottom of the Aral Sea under the action of spent drilling mud containing low and high molecular weight surfactants, stabilizers and lubricants.
