Abstract:

the article gives an idea of water-bitumen emulsions of binders. The history of the origin of emulsions, advantages of bitumen emulsions are presented, discusses the benefits of bitumen emulsion in road construction and why it is a sustainable solution. The main advantages of bitumen emulsion, such as improved adhesion and grip, environmental safety, are analyzed water resistance, rapid consolidation and opening for traffic, cold application, and improved stability and durability. The results of the study confirm the advantages of using bitumen emulsion in road construction, ensuring high-quality and durable road surfaces. The prospects of using bitumen emulsions are considered. Petroleum bitumens, the scope of its application, composition, structure and properties are discussed. The basics of emulsification processes are considered. Surface-active substance (emulsifier) and its classification. General information about bitumen emulsions - composition, structure, properties. The article considers the main areas of application of bitumens, their differences are given. Road construction and maintenance play a key role in infrastructure development and road safety. One of the important components of road pavement is bitumen emulsion. Bitumen emulsion is a stable dispersion of bitumen in water or another solvent, forming a two-phase system Its use has a number of advantages over traditional methods of bitumen application, such as hot asphalt paving. In this article, we will consider the main aspects of the technology of bitumen emulsion production and its application in road construction.
