Abstract:

The article is devoted to the urgent task of improving the efficiency of oil desalination and dewatering processes at ELOU installations, which is a critically important stage of oil refining to prevent corrosion of equipment and ensure the quality of commercial oil. The purpose of this study is to develop and numerically simulate the main components of an ELOU installation in order to determine the optimal equipment parameters. The main research method used was a theoretical approach based on the application of mathematical models and calculations using Mathcad software. In the course of the work, the required number of standard-design electric dehydrodrators, standard sizes of heat exchange equipment were calculated and determined, as well as the capacity of pumping equipment was selected and justified, with a choice of standard models. The results presented in the paper include detailed calculations and intermediate values that clearly demonstrate the progress of the calculations. The conclusions of the study allow us to recommend the obtained values as starting points for the design or modernization of ELOU installations, thereby providing a more accurate and efficient choice of equipment, which helps to optimize the technological process and reduce operating costs. The results obtained can be applied in design organizations and oil refineries to improve the efficiency and reliability of the technological process of oil treatment.
