This paper presents the calculation of the main parameters of the hydrotreating process of diesel fuel obtained from the oil of the Zapadno-Surgutskoye field. Based on the initial data (plant performance, raw material characteristics, required desulfurization depth), the material and thermal balance of the hydrotreating reactor was performed. The yield of the target product, the total consumption of hydrogen and the consumption of fresh hydrogen-containing gas are determined. The key technological parameters are calculated, including the process temperature, the volume of the catalyst, and the geometric dimensions of the reactor: the diameter and height of the catalyst layer. The dependence of the temperature of the reaction mixture on the residual sulfur content in diesel fuel is shown. The results obtained can serve as a basis for designing an industrial hydrotreating plant that ensures the production of diesel fuel that meets modern state standards for sulfur content.
