Резюме:

Тhe article provides a historical overview of the development of oil and gas storage systems in Russia and the world. The main stages of the evolution of oil depots are considered — from earthen pits of the 17th century to modern metal tank farms, their classification and technological zoning. The history of the creation and current state of underground gas storage facilities, their types, purpose and role in ensuring the reliability of a Unified gas supply system are analyzed separately. The material systematizes knowledge about key infrastructure facilities of the fuel and energy complex. The article is a comprehensive analysis based on a wide range of scientific sources.
